Wondering what makes a Sperry Tent unique?
For starters, each one is handcrafted at a post-and-beam barn in Mass., which is powered by solar panels. During the summer months, these rooftop panels provide for all of the building’s electrical needs.

Our sailcloth canopies boast geometric support patches and sweeping seams.

Our support poles are solid wood and cut by hand at a historic 1930s sawmill in Mass.

Here’s the Sperry sawmill in action…

Our peaks are topped by 10-ft.-long pennant flags (they always tell us which way the wind is blowing). All pole tent rentals come with standard white pennants but different colors as well as custom logos are available upon request.

An ivory Sperry Tent acts as a serene backdrop for a variety of decor and lighting schemes. When twilight descends, a Sperry Tent starts to glow.

We’re excited about this blog post from Tatiana of the Wedding Salon bridal expos. We couldn’t agree more that a Sperry Tent makes for a truly magical night. Thanks Tatiana!
Every year the owners of Sperry Tents meet on the mountain to discuss ideas on how to better serve our clients. And, have a little fun…

The answer is: Yes, they do! Here is a great example at the Beach Club of Cape May in 2011. Sustained 40 mph south winds – with gusts registering 63+ mph – kept our tents (and our team) company in the days prior to the event. Blue skies, low winds and our unscathed Sperry Tents prevailed on the wedding day.
The event was a huge success and we look forward to working with the Washington Inn Catering team again in 2012!

Sperry Tents are featured on Grace Ormonde’s website. Well, maybe she was complimenting our tents and not our boyish good looks. Either way, we love the compliment!
There’s always room for one more with our new line of 66-foot-wide tents. Each tent, handmade by sailmakers, is supported by two rows of wooden center poles. This new design allows for 20 more feet of width (Sperry Tents have been a maximum of 46 feet wide for 25 years) and a variety of inventive layout options.
The following photos, provided courtesy of Joe Elario Photography, show the largest available 66-foot-wide Sperry Tent, the 66 x 126, complete with five rows of double center poles. Other size options include 66 x 66 (2 rows of double center poles), 66 x 86 (3 rows of double center poles), and 66 x 106 (4 rows of double center poles).
